Rajamouli thanked the women in his life in his acceptance speech for winning the Critics Choice Award for Best Foreign Language Film, concluding with "Jai Hindi." "To all the women in my life, my mother Rajandani thought school education was overrated and she encouraged me to read comic books and picture books and she encouraged my creativity," he said. My sister-in-law Sreevalli, who has grown to be like a mother to me, constantly motivates me to strive to be my best self. My wife Rama is the life's designer as well as the costume designer for my movies. I wouldn't be here today if she weren't there. To my daughters, they don't do anything, just their smile is enough to light my life up. Mera Bharath Mahaan. Jai Hind.”
